Arya Nove Reign Stover beat all odds. She was born with 22q microdelections and flatlined before her 1st surgery. A true heart warrior, Arya has undergone 4 open heart surgeries and has an internal pacemaker. Arya is doing great! She just finished her first year of preschool and will be 4 in August!!!

We can’t say enough how blessed we are to have CHOA in our backyard! My heart warrior is 18 and had his 1st surgery at 2 days, 8 catherizations before his 2nd surgery at 5 1/2 and then 2 MRI’s and 12 years later we were looking at a 3rd surgery…..but the Cath Lab proved miraculous! Dr. Kim was able to place a valve with stents in the Cath Lab and all involved were so excited with the outcome! Only 1 night in the hospital and we were home and my warrior is doing amazing! We are beyond grateful and forever thankful to the entire Sibley Heart Center!

CHOA saves lives over and over. Our daughter has “aged out” but CHOA was always home away from home. Any time we had appointments there, she had to go visit staff to say hello. They love to see the children outside of a hospital stay. She has had several surgeries and procedures there and we have always felt comfortable. They have saved her life over and over, literally! One example is a procedure to put another lead in for a biventricular pacemaker. Took six hours -normally two. But they stayed with it because if they couldn’t get it in, she would have required a transplant. This is only one of the many examples.
